Humanity related by blood – ULAB Social Welfare Club’s Blood Donation Camp 2023
On the 15th and 16th of October, ULAB Social Welfare Club (USWC) collaborated with Rhythm Blood Bank, to organize a thoughtful and humanitarian event of blood donation, by setting up a 2-day long blood donation camp at the premises of ULAB Permanent Campus. This auspicious event was inaugurated graciously by our honorable Vice Chancellor, Professor Imran Rahman, by cutting the ribbon on the first day. ULAB faculties, students, and general members of USWC came to visit the blood donation camp that had been set up, and many participated for voluntary blood donation. USWC and Rhythm Blood Bank also arranged for free blood determination and medical care program at the blood donation camp.
The response to the USWC Blood Donation Camp was overwhelmingly positive, and nothing short of amazing. A striking total of 70 bags of precious lifesaving blood were secured through voluntary donation at the camp, throughout the duration of the two days of the program. The event was an undeniable success, as it united all teachers and students of ULAB in solidarity for the cause of humanity, through the joint efforts of ULAB Social Welfare Club and Rhythm Blood Bank.
