ULAB Media Club hosted a workshop on ‘Social Media Marketing’ collaboration with Creative IT Institute
ULAB Media Club in collaboration with Creative IT Institute conducted a workshop on Social Media Marketing which is held on 1st August 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Campus B seminar room of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh. It started brimming with the students of ULAB. Bijoya Anam, Adviser of ULAB Media Club and Lecturer of the Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) Department was also present at the event. Social media marketing (SMM), as we know, is a form of Internet marketing that utilizes social networking websites as a marketing tool. To make the concept easier, two notable faculties, Foysal Jewel, Senior Faculty of Digital Marketing and Nazib Rafe, Head of Business Development at the prestigious institute of Creative IT graced the event to share their knowledge. Creative IT Institute caters to imparting quality education related to the multimedia industry. The workshop encompassed the topics – four key ways of social media marketing, reaching the target audience, power of keywords, building connections over social media and other important aspects of social media marketing. “Start your own business, be an entrepreneur. The doors of Creative IT will always be open. We will guide you,” said Nazib Rafe while motivating the attendees and informing them about the various opportunities in the field. The final segment of the workshop consisted of the distribution of certificates to the students by the Advisor of UMC and the team of Creative IT. The Advisor also delivered her vote of thanks while presenting the guests with gift bags as a token of appreciation.
The four-hour workshop came to an end at 2:00 p.m. with attendees leaving with much-garnered knowledge, hopes, and ambitions.
